Athletic Bilbao: the idea that Fernando Llorente would leave Athletic Bilbao and move to an English club like Manchester United is ridiculous. I know his stock is high and the pundits love his classically English center-forward looks, but United won´t meet his valuation. Athletic don´t need the money and they can wait on it unlike a dozen other Spanish clubs. Same thing goes for the Javi Martinez to Arsenal rumor but even moreso as Arsenal are cheap-skates.
Atletico de Madrid: Thibault Courtois, currently owned by Chelsea FC, is set to extend his loan spell at Aléti for another year. In his first year he has taken over for the highly-rated David De Gea who was sold over the summer to Manchester United, and supplanted former number one Sergio Asenjo.
Espanyol: from 8-10 players are likely to be sold, let loose from their contracts, or their loan options will not be continued. Next year´s club will likely look very different. The most firm options are for Javi Marquez, who is not getting minutes under Pochettino, a likely target for either Newcastle United or for Tottenham. Spurs would do well with a player like Javi, but Pardew´s men might be a better fit for Javi.
Getafe: Arab petro-dollars going to be filtering in this summer, finally, so look for Geta to spend, not as big as Malaga I might add, but they´ll be in the market at least unlike other Spanish clubs. That said, they might be starting to open up their squad. Miku is in the sights of Greek side Olympiakos, who might also be looking to Luis García to replace departing coach Ernesto Valverde.
Granada: Brazilian left-back Guilherme Siqueira is a wanted man. After Barcelona, Valencia and Atlético Madrid came for the 25 year old and no firm offer appeared, it looks like both Benfica and Manchester United are both interested in a summer signing.
Levante: if Arouna Koné does return to Sevilla as is probable, one of the conditions for his return is that he meets his contractual arrangement of 18 goals, one of the reinforcements for the attack might be Argentine forward Stuani who plays for Racing Santander though owned by Italian side Reggina.
Malaga: looks like Diego Buonanotte is about ready to leave Malaga CF either as a loanee to Benfica in Portugal, Gremio in Brazil, and Italian side Fiorentina, although the Andalusians are being approached by Mexican side Cruz Azul for his rights.
Osasuna: the club are looking to decide on the future of Raúl García Escudero. He came through the ranks and did very well, was sold on to Atlético Madrid where he had a poor run of form and was then loaned back to his hometown club. His status is up in the air, Diego Simeone does not count on him, but his status in Pamplona is in limbo.
Rayo Vallecano: Michu, the Rayo forward who has lit up the scoring tables, is not likely to resign with the very poor club from the Madrid neighborhood of Vallecas. Likely destinations? The usual: Valencia, Atlético Madrid, or France.
Real Betis: Betis is considering negotiating with Arsenal FC for the rights to Mexican forward Carlos Vela who has spent the better part of this year at Real Sociedad. They are also negotiating with Real Mallorca over the rights to forward Chori Castro.
Racing Santander: Argentine forward is in the sights of Levante, especially if Racing are relegated.
Real Mallorca: it is not certain if Joaquin Caparros will continue on in Mallorca, his contract is up and he is a wanted man by former (Sevilla) and new suitors (Villarreal) alike. In either case, the club are looking to sell three players from Michael Laudrup´s time in charge that have had little playing time recently: center-mid Brazilian Joao Victor, defender Gianni Zuiverloon and surprisingly Belgian forward Marvin Ogunjimi.
Real Sociedad: could Ernesto Valverde become the latest coach at Real Sociedad? Philippe Montanier is not well-liked by the supporters and he has little support at the club. The Basque tactician who last coached at Villarreal and at Espanyol recently quit after two very successful spells at Olympiakos in Greece.
Real Zaragoza: with the relationship between José Mourinho and Iker Casillas being strained at best, there is talk that the club are looking at signing some keepers to increase competition under San Iker. One of them is the Zaragoza keeper Roberto.
Sevilla: the club are looking to sign a few players this summer, primarily on t he left flank and an attacking option behind the forward line. French left-back Lionel Carole who is owned by Benfica but has played this year in the French second division is an option and so is Colo-Colo midfielder Bryan Rabello.
Sporting de Gijon: with Sporting practically relegated, defender Alberto Botía is likely to sign with Malaga next year. Atlético Madrid are also an option.
Valencia: the first signing of the Tito Vilanova era will be Spain left-back Jordi Alba.
Villarreal: Borja Valero is likely to join half of Spain in signing for los colchoneros of Atético Madrid. Does anyone know where the money is coming from? Anyone, anyone, Mendes, Jorge Mendes, anyone?
